Store Coupon Policies

Most policies have general requirements such as: coupon must not be expired, must be capable of scanning at checkout, only one manufacturer coupon per item; management reserves the right to limit quantities. Here are some links to coupon policies along with some highlights of each retailer’s coupon policy.


CVS
Includes
Stacking, BOGO
Exceptions
Coupon value reduced if it exceeds item price after other 
discounts or coupons.
Excludes
Bar code images on a Smartphone/iPhone; % off coupons 
for items on sale.


Dollar Tree
Exceptions
Coupons for over a dollar on a single item are accepted but 
value will be reduced to the purchase price of the item; up to 
4 like coupons per day; coupons for free items are only 
accepted if a purchase is required to get one free 
(i.e.   Buy 1 Get 1); up to 2 IP coupons/day.
Excludes
IP free item coupons


Family Dollar

Includes
Mobile coupons, stacking
Exceptions
Coupon amount reduced if it exceeds item price; BOGO 
coupons accepted
if the exact same 2 products are the “buy” and the “free".
Excludes
Free item coupons without a required purchase.


Grocery Outlet
Does not accept manufacturer coupons; has in-store circular coupons.


KMart
Coupon policy outline in discussion forum


Kmart occasionally has coupon 'doubling' weeks.

Marketon
No published policy. Email received 2/13/12 as follows:

basket purchase); competitor coupons (with conditions), competitors 
coupons on a specific item for a specified price, catalinas for a specific 
item.
Exceptions
IP BOGO’s must have a specified price; system will prompt for supervisor 
verification for 40 coupons per transaction or a coupon of $20 or greater 
on one item or $50 or more in coupons in one transaction.

IP coupons for free items

Whole Foods
Includes
Stacking; coupon can be used on full priced item of a BOGO sale.
